IRP Delft
Description
IRP Delft is a non-profit foundation that each year brings together twenty selected TU Delft master's students for international advisory projects. In teams of four you carry out two months of fieldwork abroad in July and August for major clients, with past destinations such as India, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and Malaysia/Singapore. The projects revolve around strategy development, market research, feasibility studies and supply chain optimisation for companies such as Philips, Shell, Van Oord and ASML. You are trained and coached by the knowledge partners McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Strategy& and Power2X: each team gets its own coach from one of those firms.
Applying (how & when)
One cycle per year. In autumn (around October) there is an interest drink explaining the programme and the application procedure; after that, applications open for next year's team. The track runs from June to September, with the fieldwork in July and August. A board is recruited separately.
Requirements
TU Delft master's students only, from a variety of disciplines; there is a selection procedure and you must be able to free up two full summer months.
